The good cameras for film in the video format would be the Sony F900, Panasonic Varicam, Red, SI 2k. These are all expensive cameras.
You may want to go lower using the Sony cinealta HD Ex 1, Sony cinealta HD Ex3 or the Canon HD camcorder. You could get the Sony ex1 and ex3 from accord equips in Mumbai. www.accordequips.com
While shooting on video for film, the care one has to take is the lighting has to be done accordingly. Also be careful when do fast pans. Rest the cameraman and technical team will advice.
The Red is a good camera.
