You could also join some film society. These societies show you acclaimed films from across the world. Join IDPA(Indian documentaries film Assn). they regularly run shows of such films. Seeing world cinema will open up yr thought process. See old / new Indian classics. Repeat movies that you like and understand them. Once you have done a course in editing then it will be easier for you to get a job as an assistant editor or somwe junior post in a channel. You could connect with tv channels in Mumbai.
