I am planing to shoot a regional (Gujarati) film on HD camera, then I`ll go for RTC on 35mm. As u know guj ind is very low budget ind,so i need HD on lowest rates.
The problem is I dont know recent rates of HD, pls help or tell me frm where I can hire HD on lowest rate.
I also want to Know how many rights are been sold of a feature film & where it is sold.

The standard HD equipment include The Sony F900 or the Panasonic Varicam and now RED. The rentals of about Rs 25000/day + attendants are prohibitive for regional cinema.
You could go for the Sony EX1 cinealta HD camcorder. This is true HD and low cost. To get the film look you could go for the package with a 35mm adaptor and a set of lenses.
Data shows that the total cost saving could be around Rs 10 lacs.
