www.1takemedia.com India's largest entertainment jobs portal presents, India's largest Short Film Competition.
1takemedia.com is presently the largest JOBS portal in the entertainment industry. The idea of this competition is to find fresh talent not only in metros but talent that is hidden in the smaller cities of India. Good talent will get help in placements form the portal. Who knows we may manage to find the next Guru Dutt in this competition
This competition follows the success of our recently concluded competition "Advantage India - The 3 Minute Film Competition" which received an overwhelming response despite a very short time window of about 4 weeks. We received a whopping 90 films in 40 days. The only people complaining were our jury memberes.
This competition also has an eminent jury which includes
• John Mathew Matthan - Director: Sarfarosh & Ad films
• Ketan Mehta - Director : Mirch Masala, Mangal Pandey, Rang Rasiya ...
• Vikram Bhatt - Director: Ghulam, Raaz, 1920...
These film makers are known to seamlessly blend art with commercial cinema.
The competition has 3 segments based on the film duration.

To recognise the efforts of the participants, each segment has prize money for the winner and each participant share get a share of the revenues received from the participant's films.
The competition is not restrictive. It allows all languages and all subjects. All films will need to have English subtitles. Shooting formats could be anything DV and above, so one could use a handycam too. The idea of the new competition is to find new talent for this industry. To help 1st timers, the competition has tied with equipment vendors who will not only advise but also provide equipment at discount.
So a great opportunity for film school students and other to show their talent and be a part of India's fastest growing entertainment industry.
